The 2024 World Series will bring two juggernaut teams, the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers, together on the stage.

When the East and West Coasts debate the outcome of the series, who reigns supreme? Few would know better than Dodgers star Mookie Betts and Yankees slugger Aaron Judge.

On a recent episode of On Base with Mookie Betts, the two compared the cities’ weather, food, music, and more.

“It’s got to be New York,” Judge said of each city’s food and restaurants. “In New York, you can go to a different spot every single night, and it’s going to be incredible.”

“And half the time, there’s rats right in front of the door,” Betts rebutted.

“That’s when you know it’s good. It’s authentic,” Judge responded.

I polled on Twitter/X to ask people as well, and it would appear the majority agreed with Judge (71% chose NYC as of the time of this writing).

Judge, who grew up in Northern California, did give Los Angeles the edge when it came to weather and music.

The World Series begins on Friday in Los Angeles, where, according to Judge, you can also find the best nightlife.
