LSU Tigers football player Trey Holly turned himself into police on Thursday on three felony charges, including attempted second-degree murder.

Holly, and two others, are connected in a February 9 shooting that occurred in Farmerville, Louisiana. The Advocate reported on the troubling arrest Thursday afternoon. Reporter Wilson Alexander emerged with the news.

“LSU running back Trey Holly and two others were arrested today in connection with a shooting that occurred Feb. 9 in Farmerville. Holly faces three felony charges, the Union Parish sheriff told The Advocate, including attempted second-degree murder,” Alexander wrote. Alexander posted the news on X, the website formerly known as Twitter.

The report on the incident says Holly and two others were involved in a shooting that took place at an apartment complex in Union Parish. Charges filed against Holly included “one count of attempted second-degree murder, one count of aggravated criminal damage to property, and one count of illegal use of a weapon,” the report wrote via Union Parish Sheriff Dusty Gates.

The report says Holly turned himself in.

ESPN’s Pete Thamel emerged with a statement from LSU, which read:

“LSU sends a statement that they are ‘aware that a student-athlete has been arrested in relation to a shooting in Union Parish.’ LSU says that the athlete has been ‘suspended indefinitely from all team activities.'”
