During this weekend’s game between the Indiana Fever vs Chicago Sky, Angel Reese was called for a flagrant foul for the way she fouled Caitlin Clark during the game.
After the game, the pair didn’t make a big deal about it. However, the media and fans made the incident bigger than it was. That includes former USC Trojans quarterback and current Fox Sports college football analyst Matt Leinart, who called for Reese’s suspension.
“Angel Reese should be suspended. Period. Not good for the game,” he shared on X.
As soon as Leinart dropped that gem, he was jumped on immediately by fans across social media.
Just a reminder that Matt Leinart has had a voice in athletics for over 20 years and yet his first mention of women’s basketball was earlier this month. https://t.co/CCsYNsUfHH pic.twitter.com/7xu5C1EEUp

Fans were not only going in on Leinart for this Reese comments, but they dragged him for his short NFL career as well.
It's wild how Matt Leinart literally failed out of the NFL for being soft but critiquing a woman that's tougher than him

It didn’t go unnoticed by Leinart how many hits he took for his comments.
Comparing himself to Clay Travis, who is also part of the Fox Sports family, didn’t exactly help his cause, given Travis’ stance on certain issues surrounding Clark.
By that evening, Leinart found out that some things are better left unsaid, especially when it comes to commenting on a sport and situation you don’t know very well.
