Vice President Kamala Harris helped welcome the WNBA champions to the White House last week. The Las Vegas Aces made their way to Washington, D.C., as they celebrated their WNBA title with the United States vice president.
After welcoming the Aces to D.C., Harris sent a clear message to the reigning champions. And it was a message that was right on point for the situation.
“The Las Vegas Aces are women who dream with ambition,” the Vice President said. “Women who lead with conviction. Trailblazers who continuously breathe new life into the idea that if you can see her, you can be her.
“And they are WNBA champions. Congratulations, @LVAces.”
Vegas is off to yet another blistering start in the 2023 season. They are 30-6 and lead the Western Conference by 10.5 games over the second-place Dallas Wings. They’re a game better in the loss column with the New York Liberty, who are 28-7 this season.
So with the Aces once again looking like a force to be reckoned with again, one might wonder if the Aces will plan another trip to D.C. next year to celebrate another championship.
Time will soon tell, but they seemed to have a great time in D.C. anyway on Tuesday. So congrats to them once again on their championship season and the celebrations that have ensued since.
