It’s always interesting to see truck crashes that spill notable cargo, from tomatoes to potatoes to peppers, watermelons, chicken tenders, and even dildos and lube. The latest one, on I-75 near Tampa, Florida Wednesday, featured a different kind of lubricant: Coors Light.
Here’s more on this from the Associated Press story:
The multi-vehicle crash occurred shortly after 6 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 about 30 miles (48 kilometers) north of Tampa, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
The pileup began when one semitrailer clipped another while changing lanes, officials said. That forced other semis to brake, but one failed to stop and collided with a pickup truck and another one of the stopping semis.
The semi that failed to stop was filled with cases of the Silver Bullet beer.
As per the highway patrol, occupants of the pickup truck suffered minor injuries. But the cleanup took a while. The inside shoulder and travel lanes weren’t opened until 8:30 a.m., and the highway wasn’t fully open until noon.
In an unsurprising development, a truckload of Coors Light spilling across the roadway led to some jokes:

It’s a good thing that one particular former Hard Rock Stadium vendor wasn’t around to try and charge people $724 for two roadway beers.
