Star quarterback withdraws name from transfer portal

Rogers had originally committed to Washington while Kalen DeBoer was still the head coach.

Washington has been short on good news lately, but the Huskies learned that a former Arizona QB plans to visit the campus.

After entering the transfer portal, Austin Mack announced that he will transfer from Washington down to Alabama.

The Washington Huskies have been going through it lately. On Tuesday, they learned that at least one player won't be leaving.

Mack will have four years of eligibility remaining.

Fisch went 10-3 with the Wildcats in 2023.

Lance Leipold will stay at Kansas, and Washington will have to look elsewhere.

"Though I wanted to be, I will not be the next head coach at the University of Washington."

"Things slipping quickly for Washington. Yikes."

DeBoer has compiled a 104–12 overall record and won five conference championships in nine seasons as a head coach.
