Western recorded the biggest win in Uteck Bowl history, perhaps aided by Acadia's short rest following a court battle that forced a late conference final.
While the Saint Mary's Huskies will now get to play in the conference championship thanks to a court decision, whoever wins will then have to play again on short rest against the Ontario champions.
The courts may end up deciding if the Loney Bowl is played or not.
