Canada‘s dream of FIFA World Cup glory has come to a close.
After Canadian Alphonso Davies scored the fastest goal (so far) in this World Cup, the odds quickly turned in Croatia‘s favor and stayed that way until the final whistle.
Once the 2018 World Cup runners-up netted their first goal after 35 minutes of nervy play, they settled in and controlled the rest of the match.
This win is especially satisfying for Croatia, having been told by Canadian manager John Herdman stated, We’re going to go and eff Croatia.’

Canadian keeper Milan Borjan played valiantly, coming up with epic saves to keep the Canucks in the hunt.
Canadian captain Atiba Hutchinson didn’t care how they stopped the bleeding; he just had to get back on and make a difference for his crew.
Kramaric settled the ball with a daft touch before placing the ball well out of reach of Borjan.

Croatia proved too much for Canada, winning easily 4-1 with goals coming from three different checkered-chupacabras:
Andrej Kramaric-36′,70′
Marko Livaja-44′
Lovro Majer-90’+4
With this result, Croatia will move into Group F’s first position due to goal differential, and Canada will become the second team officially eliminated.
Croatia will play Belgium Thursday (10 am ET) at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium.
Canada will play Morocco Thursday (10 am ET) at Al Thumama Stadium.
