Two-time NASCAR Series Cup champion Kyle Busch and his family were among the many people at Minnesota’s Mall of America on Thursday when gunfire broke out.
Busch and his son can be seen among the many people fleeing the mall in a video posted at roughly 4:30 p.m. local time by Andy Paras of WFFT FOX 55 Fort Wayne.

Busch’s wife, Samantha, shared in an Instagram story that the Busch family got out of the mall safely.
Fans of Busch and NASCAR sent their best wishes following the news.
Fortunately, as troubling as the video was, it seems as though tragedy was averted. An Associated Press report picked up by ESPN said that according to the initial reports from local police, there were no casualites.
“Bloomington police, which said no one appeared to be injured, was still searching for a suspect after securing the scene shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday,” the AP report said. The police said two groups at the mall got into an altercation at a store and one group left, but someone in that group fired three rounds.”
As scary as the situation was, it seems as though this was the best possible result for all involved.
