The entertainment world lost one of its own Saturday. Multiple reports are saying that Matthew Perry passed away after apparently drowning in his jacuzzi.
Perry was 54.
Both the Los Angeles Times and TMZ reported on Perry’s death, sighting law enforcement sources.
There was no sign of foul play.
Perry became a fixture as the sarcastic, funny and charismatic character on NBC’s hit TV show Friends as Chandler Bing. The sitcom ran for 10 seasons from 1994-2004.
Here’s how the sports world reacted.
TMZ said: “We’re told Matthew came home sometime in the AM after a 2-hour round of pickleball, and that he sent his assistant out on errand shortly thereafter. We’re told when the assistant returned about 2 hours later, he discovered Matthew unresponsive … and called 911.”
Perry made plenty of appearances at Dodger Stadium.
He was also an LA Kings fan:

Perry got an early start in acting at the age of 15 when he moved to Los Angeles from his native Canada.
He had roles here and there, but became an international sensation with the star-studded cast as Friends took over the world. His role as Chandler earned him an Emmy nomination in 2002 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy series along with co-star Matt LeBlanc.
The cause of Perry’s death has yet to be confirmed.
RIP.
