Have you ever gotten excited about a goofy item on eBay and bid an irresponsible amount of money?

Then maybe you can relate to the guy who is currently leading the bidding for a Cheeto shaped like the dead gorilla Harambe. After 102 bids, he’s out front with a bid $99,900. Yes, that’s three nines and two zeroes. As in $100 short of $100,000. As in, a reasonable price for a small home in some places.

And here’s the thing: This Cheeto doesn’t even really look like Harambe. It’s a total stretch to say it resembles a gorilla, let alone one specific gorilla.

And here’s the other thing: Harambe was a fun joke for four days and is now totally played out and obnoxious.

What is the winner of this heated auction going to do with his sorta-looks-like-a-gorilla-that-could-be-Harambe Cheeto? Put it in a display case? Donate it to a museum that commemorates goofy internet memes?

Hate to break it to you dude, all you’re getting for your 100k is a stale Cheeto and a whole lot of buyer’s remorse.
