OK, maybe they made a critical mistake or two with the first Titanic, but decades later it seems now is the time to give it another shot. And we’re obviously not talking about the movie.

Titanic II, a completely new and updated version of the original Titanic is scheduled to traverse from Jiangsu in Eastern China to Dubai in 2018 thanks to the funding of Clive Palmer, a billionaire from Australia who decided he had more than enough money to see the Titanic project thrive once and for all. This newly constructed vessel will be as close of a complete remake of the original as possible, with some slight modifications to meet current standards. That includes widening the ship by four meters. And yes, there will be more life boats. You know. Just in case.

The original Titanic, of course, hit an ice burg on its maiden voyage in 1912 and sank in the Atlantic Ocean. Although, there are rumors it once docked at Pier 34 in New York City…

Even though they are two completely different ships, would you be willing to set foot on this Titanic ship knowing what happened to the first a century ago?
