When you think of The New Yorker, you might think of their cartoons. And their latest is a doozy about Donald Trump and his “golf buddies.”
The New Yorker has featured cartoons since its inception in 1925. Since then, they’ve become an iconic part of each issue and taken on a life of their own as a satirical jab at a major story or figure.
It’s probably no surprise that the cartoon would set its sights on Donald Trump, a longtime mainstay of the New York real estate scene and the former President of the United States.
Trump was recently found liable for sexually abusing and defaming E. Jean Carroll. She was awarded $5 million in damages.
Given that this is just in a long line of accusations against Trump from women regarding sexual assault, harassment, rape, and hush money payments, it makes sense that the New Yorker cartoon would lump him in with other powerful men who have been accused and taken to court over similar accusations and charges.
The May 12 cartoon features Trump in a golf cart with disgraced comedian Bill Cosby and former Miramax executive Harvey Weinstein. The caption reads “Three Below Par.”
The cartoon from Barry Blitt also includes an introduction that reads “Misery loves locker-room company,” a reference to how Trump described his infamous Access Hollywood tape in which he said he would just grab a woman’s privates.
