It’s no secret that former United States President Donald Trump and Senate candidate Herschel Walker have a lot in common with Trump endorsing the former Georgia Bulldogs star’s political campaign. And they’ve recently shared one more big thing they have in common, revealing that they have the same opinion on one controversial issue.
This month, both Donald Trump and Herschel Walker spoke out against transgender women competing in sports while using some controversial and hateful rhetoric.
During his 2024 presidential campaign announcement last week, Trump revealed that he plans to prohibit transgendered women from competing in sports, controversially referring to the transgendered women as “men” instead of women.
“We will not let men, as an example, participate in women’s sports. Is that okay?” Trump said in his speech as the crowd cheered. “No men. No men.”
“My people tell me ‘sir, that’s politically incorrect to say,’ Trump continued. “I said, ‘that’s okay, I’ll say it anyway if you don’t mind.’ We’ve had tremendous problems. And you know, it’s very unfair to women. Just very unfair.”
This week, Walker echoed Trump’s beliefs in a new advertisement that targeted transgendered athletes. The ad included swimmer Riley Gaines who competed against transgendered swimmer Lia Thomas. In the ad, Gaines complained that it was unfair for her to be forced to compete against “a biological man.”
Both Walker and Trump have made their stances on the controversial issue quite clear.
