There has been a ton of controversy surrounding the topic of transgender female athletes and whether they should or should not be allowed in women’s sports. Former United States President Donald Trump made his opinion on the matter extremely clear.
Trump discussed the topic during a public appearance in Lee County, Florida on Friday night. He stated that his position is that he will “keep men out of women’s sports” among many other topics that he mentioned.
“I will not give one penny to any school that has a vaccine mandate or mask mandate, from kindergarten through college,” said Trump via investigative journalist Laura Loomer on Twitter. “I will keep men out of Women’s Sports – and I will sign a law prohibiting child sexual mutilation in all 50 states.”
This is seemingly a list of things that Trump is planning on doing should he become president again in the upcoming 2024 Presidential election.
His opinion on the matter appears to be in line with his son Donald Trump Jr. who also offered his opinion on the matter on social media Thursday.
“Hey feminists, women, mothers, female athletes, sane people… Not one House Democrat voted to protect women in sports from biological men participating against them. Let that sink in! Luckily, the legislation passes because Republicans had the guts to take on the insanity!”
This opinion from Donald Trump is certainly not a new one. He has previously criticized allowing trans-female athletes in women’s sports, making the comparison to how LeBron James would do if he were allowed to play in the WNBA instead of the NBA.
