You wouldn’t think that former United States President Donald Trump was in any position to criticize the weight of anybody else given that he is quite obese himself, but that hasn’t stopped him from bringing up the weight of Republican presidential hopeful Chris Christie every time Trump mentions him. And now, Christie is clapping back.
During a recent interview with Fox News, Chris Christie pointed out that Donald Trump himself has been looking pretty plump during his recent trips to the golf course, making it a little odd that he would be commenting on somebody else’s weight.
“At the end of the day for him – and I have said this in return – who’s he, Hercules?” Christie said on Fox News. “I mean, we’ve seen the pictures on the golf course. I’m not going to call him the same things, but we’re not talking about an Adonis over here in Donald Trump.”
The comments from Christie certainly generated a lot of reactions on social media.
Even the Fox people know how ridiculous Trump’s attacks on Christie’s weight are. People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. https://t.co/opdw6b9zgl

Quite a feat to give deprecating side eye to the “snowflake world we live in now” while simultaneously claiming high ground on how awful it is that fat shaming is still given a pass while *also* getting his own allusive shots in re: Donny’s own weight

I mean, fine, I will agree with Christie when he’s correct about something

Still, Christie didn’t want to insult Trump too much as he instead decided to take the high road.
“I wouldn’t say that stuff about him – even though I’ve seen the same pictures you’ve seen,” Christie said. “What I do is I let people draw their own conclusions on that.”
