Edmonton Oilers star Evander Kane made some shocking allegations against Los Angeles Kings fans. According to Kane, King fans spat on a young Oilers fan who is also a cancer patient.

Kane shared his thoughts on the incident via social media.

“I’m disgusted and appalled at what happened to this amazing little girl in the stands and in a women’s restroom where she was harassed for wearing her jersey and was spit on by a LA fan for doing so,” he said.

10-year-old Cecily Eklund is battling cancer and she was allegedly singled out for wearing a Kane jersey during Game 3 of the Kings vs. Oilers series at Crypto.com Arena on Friday.

Kane continued to rant about the incident.

“This type of behavior is gross and unacceptable,” Kane said.  Apparently, some King fans took offense to what Kane said and tried to defend the bad behavior of those fans.

One even posted “You make us spit on kids for being a dirty mother f***er.”

Fans across the sports world are getting out of hand from taunting to spitting to suing players and something needs to be done before a major incident happens in a sport like in the NBA a few years ago with players going in the stands after fans.

Organizations like the Kings, who say they are investigating this alleged incident, need to do a better job of securing not only the players but fans as well.
