Buffalo Sabres left winger Evander Kane is a controversial player, to say the least, one who seems to always end up on the wrong side of the headlines. After the Sabres’ loss Saturday against the Boston Bruins, Kane was at it again, this time calling out Bruins’ defenseman Kevan Miller on Twitter.
After the Bruins’ win, Miller told CSN New England that Kane, “was excited to fight when the referees came in, not before.” The two nearly fought anyway, but the referees did step in to break up the potential fight. That’s when Kane responded on Twitter.
Kane laid down his marker, and after Bruins practice on Sunday, Miller laid down his.
The only thing cooling down this boiling kettle is the fact that the Bruins and Sabres have completed their season series already, as Miller mentioned, with the B’s sweeping the Sabres for the first time ever.
But since this is hockey, there’s no doubt these two players aren’t going to forget this come the first meeting between Buffalo and Boston next season, whenever that is.
