According to Fox Sports Midwest’s Darren Pang, Bouwmeester was alert while being taken away in an ambulance to the hospital.
Bouwmeester, 36, is a two-time All-Star and won the Stanley Cup with the Blues last season. The Canadian (and gold medal winner for Team Canada in 2014) also has one of the NHL’s longest consecutive games played streaks, at 737 games (from 2004-2014).
