WATCH: Cardinals, Seahawks trade missed chip shot OT field goals in worst game ever

Oh my god. The Cardinals-Seahawks Sunday Night Football game was the worst football game I’ve ever seen.

Not just the worst NFL game. The worst FOOTBALL game. At any level.

It ended in a tie, deservedly so. Even if the final score said one team had more points, there were no winners. So it’s only fair it ends in a tie. And not even a tie of double-digit points. A 6-6 tie. 12 total points, in five total quarters.

But as boring and awful as the game was, man did it make for a hilarious, perfectly fitting finish.

It looked like the Cardinals were going to come away with a victory as David Johnson ran to the one-yard line with under five minutes left in overtime. He tried to get into the end zone on the next run, but was stuffed. So Arizona then went for a 19-yard field goal attempt. Well, they took a delay of game, probably on purpose to give kicker Chandler Catanzaro a better angle. A 24-yard field goal attempt… these are like 95%+ makes. But of course, because this game was the worst, Catanzaro missed the kick in hilarious fashion:

So incredibly, the Seahawks were still alive, though they most certainly didn’t deserve to be. They appeared as though they were going to take advantage of this opportunity and drove down the field, setting up a 28-yard field goal try for Stephen Hauschka. And… yikes:

The first NFL game to end in a tie without a touchdown since 1972:

IMPOSSIBLE.

It’s hard to figure out why the TV ratings are down.
