A warrant has been issued for Buffalo Bills veteran linebacker Von Miller for allegedly assaulting a pregnant woman. According to WFAA, the warrant was confirmed by the Dallas Police Department.
Police said at 11 AM on Wednesday, they responded to a “major disturbance” call where Miller and the alleged victim argued in which Miller allegedly assaulted her. He left the scene before officers arrived.
While the victim was not taken to the hospital, she was treated for minor injuries at the scene. According to a report by NBC Dallas-Fort Worth, the alleged victim is Miller’s longtime girlfriend.
The case remains ongoing.
A Bills statement was released to WFAA:
“This morning, we were made aware of an incident involving Von Miller. We are in the process of gathering more information and will have no further comment at this point.”
The NFL also released a statement:
“We are aware of the matter and have been in contact with the club. We will follow all legal developments. We have no further comment at this time.”
