There has been a lot of buzz for weeks that Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Will Levis is struggling during OTAs.
Levis was expected to be a first-round draft choice and was highly touted by many draft analysts. And yet, he dropped into the second round and fell into the Titans’ lap.
Even with those struggles and an embarrassing wait in the green room during the 2023 NFL Draft, one person is offering him encouragement. And that’s Tom Brady.
In a video for Fanatics’ The Locker Room documentary series, Brady offers words of advice and encouragement to the rookie quarterback out of Kentucky.
“Waiting around on draft day, it sucks,” Brady says in the clip. “I know the feeling. It’s not easy. But I promise you one thing, it’s going to make everything that happens from this point on that much sweeter.”
Brady, as many may recall, was not a high draft pick coming out of Michigan. But eventually, against all odds, he would earn the starting quarterback role for the New England Patriots taking over for Drew Bledsoe. He then managed to carve out a pretty good career for himself,
Levis struggled at times last year as the starter at Kentucky, but perhaps what got the attention of NFL scouts was his strong arm and his numbers from his 2021 season.
In 2021 He threw for 2,826 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions while completing 66% of his passes over 13 games.
Maybe Brady’s wise words will get through to Levis.
