Following the conclusion of the 2021-22 NFL season, legendary Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady initially decided to retire from the NFL, but changed his mind just a few months later. Though Brady never said how long he planned to play following his unretirement, that timeline has now become clear.
According to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, the upcoming 2022-23 NFL season is expected to be Brady’s final season as he plans to retire following its conclusion – but this time, for good.
“The 45-year-old is heading into what is expected to be his final season in the NFL, according to sources with knowledge of his thinking,” Rapoport wrote. “He has never said it publicly, but multiple parties involved acknowledge that after last year’s retirement then unretirement, the end is coming. That is the understanding, that this is the final year.”
Naturally, this is massive news and the NFL world had plenty to say about it – although a few people don’t necessarily believe it after Brady’s unretirement last year.
As expected, Brady shouldn't play beyond 2022. https://t.co/SFg0CjKRo3

When Brady does end his career, he will undoubtedly go down as the most accomplished NFL quarterback of all time. And perhaps he could add one more Super Bowl ring this season and go out on top.
