With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers season officially over, all eyes turn to Tom Brady as he now must make a decision regarding his future – he could return to the team, retire or become a free agent this offseason with all options on the table. But even though Brady isn’t expected to rush into a decision, his friend and longtime teammate Rob Gronkowski expects to see him on the field next year.
During an appearance on Fox NFL Sunday, Gronk said that while he isn’t sure exactly what Tom Brady will do, he thinks he’s “gonna be ready to go next year.”
“Everybody wants to know about Tom Brady’s future. I don’t even think Tom knows what his future holds right now,” Gronkowski said. “But let me tell you this: He was top-five in passing yards last season. He can still play the game and he’s probably getting some treatment on his arm as we speak right now, so he’s gonna be ready to go next year.”
“It’s gonna be whatever situation intrigues him the most,” Gronkowski said. “Whatever opportunity that makes him the most excited to play the game of football, that’s where he will be next year.”
