It’s clear that the Las Vegas Raiders have moved on from quarterback Derek Carr and will now be in the market for a new quarterback apparently, there are two quarterbacks that really may pursue in the offseason: Tom Brady and Jimmy Garoppolo.
Speaking on the Dan Patrick Show, NFL Insider Albert Breer says the Raiders are looking into the possibility of one of those two becoming a Raider.
“I can tell you unequivocally, like, this is a fact: The Raiders are looking into it. Like, the Raiders are looking into going and acquiring Tom Brady,” Breer said to Patrick. “I’m not saying they’re contacting him because that’s not allowed. But, yes, this is something the Raiders are doing their research on. Same goes for Jimmy Garoppolo. They’re looking at the idea of Jimmy Garoppolo.”
Breer continued to say that Brady coming to the Raiders will be based on the Raiders’ roster and if he can see himself winning another Super Bowl with this roster.
If not, then they may move on to Jimmy Garoppolo which may be more realistic than Brady at this point who hasn’t ruled out retirement either especially if the Tampa Bay Buccaneers make any exit out of the playoffs against the Dallas Cowboys next Monday night.
It all depends on what’s the best move for the Raiders.
