Former NFL superstar wide receiver Terrell Owens was the victim in a pretty horrifying situation this weekend as he was intentionally hit by a car following an argument after a pickup basketball game.
According to a report from TMZ Sports, police said that a man hit the legendary receiver in the knee with his car after the two were involved in an argument on the court during a pickup basketball game near Calabasas, California.
“Owens had been hooping in the Calabasas area when he apparently got into an argument with someone else on the court. We’re told following the game, the man who had been beefing with the NFL legend got into a car … and drove the vehicle right into the former wide receiver’s knee,” TMZ reported.
It’s a pretty scary and dangerous situation for the former NFL receiver, but it seems like he suffered no serious injuries as a result.
“Thankfully, cops say Owens did not require medical attention,” TMZ reported.
According to TMZ, police took a report for assault with a deadly weapon but they have not made any no arrests regarding the case and an investigation into the matter remains ongoing.
But for now, the good news is that Owens is alright.
