Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have now been dating for over a year, but it sounds like there is a bit of a strain in their relationship based on reports and the way Kelce was acting during one of their recent public appearances.
According to a report from Radar Online, the relationship between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift is now at a “breaking point” as a result of Kelce’s recent struggles on the field. Kelce has yet to score a single touchdown all season and does not have a single game of more than 100 yards. This has resulted in a lot of criticism with Todd McShay going as far as to blame his slow start to being out of shape from partying with his girlfriend.
Radar Online reported that Kelce has decided to put his relationship with Swift on the “back burner” while he tries to focus on football.
“No one could blame him for being stressed out by the slump — he really just wants to make sure he’s contributing,” a source told Radar Online.
This report seems to be validated by the way he acted during one of their recent dates.
Body language expert Judi James recently spoke to The Mirror about how the two were interacting with each other during a recent date to Game 1 of the ALCS between the Cleveland Guardians and the New York Yankees.
James said Taylor was “bestowing her signals of love and devotion on Travis” during the game by holding his head like a “treasured possession and then kissing it or leaning her own head against it, pointing things out to Travis and celebrating the game when he does with maybe even more enthusiasm.”
But Kelce didn’t exactly respond with that same enthusiasm.
“His chin is up and when she kisses him here his eyes look away. He seems to be tracking the game more than her, which is understandable, given his career,” James told The Mirror. “When she chats and points he doesn’t seem to look. Even when he celebrates he brings his hands up, curled into fists, but he doesn’t seem in this photo to celebrate instinctively with her.”
James did not think this was necessarily a good sign.
“Gestures like wrapping yourself around your partner’s head and planting kisses while they’re occupied on something else can begin to be like a vying for attention or even a bit of an ultimatum, however loved up a couple might be,” James said.
“I think everyone just needs to leave them alone. Relationships are hard enough without someone being in their business and in their face 24/7/365,” one fan wrote in the comments of the story.
“She is Clingy! A question for the Swifties……What happens when he gets a role in a movie and it requires him to kiss a woman???” another fan wrote.
“We’ll see how this all pans out in a couple of years…” another person added.
“She is more into him and he is more into him too,” someone else said.
“I can imagine the strain. She makes so much money. She’s on the road all the time, with who knows who. I’m sure she’s not fully committed to him. Take my advice, Kelce, stay single,” another fan added.
“this whole thing is ridiculous I think the only reason why nothing has happened is because he’s scared of her putting a song out about him,” another person wrote.
“Doomed! He isnt near the man she thought he was. Typical celeb drama,” another person added.
We’ll have to see how their relationship continues to play out.
