On Wednesday night, Taylor Swift won a pretty significant award at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, claiming the VMA award for Video of the Year for the music video to her song “Fortnight.” And she couldn’t help but give a pretty strong shoutout to her superstar boyfriend Travis Kelce in her acceptance speech.
As she accepted the award, Taylor Swift did not hold back her true thoughts on Travis Kelce as she made it clear just how grateful she was to have his love and support, saying “Everything this man touches turns to happiness and fun and magic.”
“I would always just hear someone cheering from across the studio where we were shooting [the ‘Fortnight’ music video],” Swift said as she gave her acceptance speech.
“And that one person was my boyfriend Travis. Everything this man touches turns into happiness and fun and magic and I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot because I’ll always remember that.”
Swift has now been dating the Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end for about a year and their relationship appears to be going strong. Swift attended the team’s season-opening win over the Baltimore Ravens last week and it’s likely she’ll be in the stands again this week as the team takes on the Cincinnati Bengals.
