Pop sensation Taylor Swift has taken over the world with her Eras Tour this spring and summer. Swift has held concerts all around the country and plans to around the world. Several have been held at NFL stadiums, prompting more than a few players to confess their fandom. One such player made his confession on The Rich Eisen Show. Fittingly, it was a fellow Michigan alum, as star second-year EDGE Aidan Hutchinson admitted to being a Swiftie.
“Earlier Aidan, you said something that jumped out at me. That everything you do right now, everything you do right now is to make you the best player you can be. So, where does rocking out at a Taylor Swift concert rank on that list Aidan? Where does that rank?” Eisen hilariously asked Hutchinson.
Hutchinson said that it was great to “jam out” at Ford Field and step away from football during the Taylor Swift concert, which took place a few weeks ago at the Lions’ home field. He said it was his girlfriend’s birthday, so they celebrated by going to the concert. Hutchinson also made a hilarious reveal.
“I’m not kidding. I’ve never heard Ford Field as loud as the time was ticking down for Taylor Swift to come out. All the little girls are screaming their heads off. I mean, I have never heard Ford Field that loud. I was getting chills because all these little girls were screaming. High-pitched screams,” the Michigan alum said.
Aidan told Eisen that he was “never a big Swiftie,” and after he went to the concert, he put Swift’s setlist on repeat. He said “You Belong to Me” and “Love Story” were his favorite Taylor songs going in, but that new songs like “Lavender Haze” are now near the top of the list.
“I have a greater appreciation for T-Swift now,” Hutchinson said. “I have never heard Ford Field like that, so immediately, my respect for her went through the roof.”
Eisen joked that Hutchinson is now the biggest Swiftie in the NFC North, with Aaron Rodgers now on the New York Jets. One has to imagine he’ll wear that as a badge of honor.
