The sports world is humming over massive news out of the NFL. A former offensive lineman filed a lawsuit against doctors who oversaw a surgical procedure during the 2020 season. Taylor Lewan of the Tennessee Titans filed the case against the doctors and announced it on Tuesday.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter quoted a tweet from Lewan on Tuesday, who explained himself and his current status.
“I’m in an unfortunate circumstance where I have had to file a lawsuit against the people and entities that are with my surgery from October of 2020,” Lewan announced. He then let fans in on how things have gone for him since he departed the team but specified he can’t share a lot of information right now, primarily due to legalities.
“When I can, I will definitely share more when I am able to,” Lewan said.
The sports world reacted to the news.
“This is going to be very interesting to watch,” one fan tweeted.
“I don’t understand how athletes don’t go straight to Dr. Andrews after a major injury,” one fan pondered.
I don’t understand how athletes don’t go straight to Dr. Andrews after a major injury. That man has a great track record. Look at what he did for Drew Brees or Triple H. https://t.co/vOEZia9gMU

“Bummer. Hope it all shakes out for the best,” another user said.
And finally, another user claimed they had figured that out a while ago.
Knew it! He tiptoed around the second injury being because of a botched surgery without actually saying it. All that being said, wouldn’t mind 77 back on a team friendly deal #Titans https://t.co/VyppHAE5vl

Unfortunate circumstances for Taylor Lewan, who will hopefully get some judgment after this lawsuit proceeds.
