The Pittsburgh Steelers are pulling out all the stops to end their quarterback drought before it reaches a full decade. In pursuit of ending the drought, Pittsburgh had arguably the busiest offseason in the league.
The Steelers reshaped their offense, adding four-time league MVP Aaron Rodgers and star wide receiver DK Metcalf, while moving on from George Pickens and running back Najee Harris.
The defense will look different in Pittsburgh as well, with Minkah Fitzpatrick gone and cornerback Jalen Ramsey joining the ranks. As great as all of the additions are, every offseason also requires its fair share of cuts.
The Steelers were no different, and one insider broke the news on some of the players who are no longer in the building.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“I hate that we had to choose between the Punters. they’re both such likeable guys,” one Steelers fan wrote on Twitter.
“Robinson, Hurleman, and arguably Jamison should have made it (hopefully make it to PS). Woods and Brunner should have been cut (the latter going to the PS) – Heyward aruable b/c of ST value,” someone else added.
“I always high hopes for Mark Robinson i guess it just wasn’t so. He’ll catch on somewhere else some of these guys will,” another fan wrote.
It’ll be interesting to see which players land with new teams this season.
