The two consensus top quarterbacks in this NFL draft class have been former Miami Hurricanes standout Cam Ward and former Colorado Buffaloes star Shedeur Sanders. Ward being selected first overall by the Tennessee Titans seems to be all but a foregone conclusion.
However, there’s a lot more uncertainty surrounding Sanders. According to one prominent NFL insider, Sanders is ending his pre-draft process with a workout for a single team.
“ESPN Sources: Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders will hold one last private workout Thursday in Boulder, Colorado, for a contingent of officials from the New York Giants. Some final intrigue leading into next week’s NFL Draft in Green Bay,” reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Monday.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“If we draft him I’m not a fan anymore,” one Giants fan wrote on Twitter.
“Looking forward to hopefully having him in New York. We need a young QB,” someone else added.
“I think Joe wants both carter and trade up for shedeur..he wants it all lol..they prob will be okay if they can’t get Shedeur in trade up..it would most likely involve our 2nd next yrs 1st and kayvon,” another fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see where Sanders lands.
