Sunday’s Seahawks-Vikings matchup is shaping up to be one of the coldest NFL games on record.

The projected high in Minneapolis that day is just 4 degrees, according to AccuWeather. Factor in winds of 15-20 miles per hour, and the wind chills for kickoff could approach -20 degrees.

The elements are certain to play a factor in the game itself, and Seahawks Kicker Steven Hauschka is keeping that in mind as he prepares for Sunday.

This game will likely mark the end of the Vikings’ run in outdoor-only TCF Bank Stadium, as they will move into the state-of-the-art, and closed roof, U.S. Bank Stadium beginning next season. For the players about to be subjected to the some of the worst a Minnesota winter can offer, that information likely serves as little solace.

Hey, at least the kicker will be ready.
