Last week, New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley suffered an ankle injury during the Thursday night showdown with the Arizona Cardinals that had some fans concerned that the star ball carrier could be out for multiple weeks as a result. But it doesn’t necessarily sound like that will be the case.
During an interview on Tuesday, New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll gave a pretty positive update on Saquon Barkley as the team prepares for a matchup with the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night, announcing that the star running back was in the “day-to-day category.”
“He’s really now I’d say in the day-to-day category. He feels a lot better today, but we’ll kinda take that all the way throughout the week and see how he improves,” Daboll said during his interview according to SNY.
Obviously, this is big news for Giants fans as there was concern a high ankle sprain like the one Barkley suffered on Tuesday could linger throughout the season and cause him to miss multiple games. As a result, people had plenty to say about the announcement on Twitter.
Day to day= less than a week. 6 days till gameday.

To quote the late, great, Vin Scully on being "day-to-day," he would say "Aren't we all."

If Barkley does play against the Seahawks, it will be interesting to see how he looks coming off of the injury.
