As if the Dallas Cowboys needed any more distraction heading into next week’s game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, here comes the news that Cowboys rookie Sam Williams had an arrest warrant issued for him for a car accident he had a few weeks ago.
According to reports from the Plano Police Department, the warrant is for misdemeanor reckless driving but the rest of the details surrounding the allegations against Williams were not made immediately available to the media.
Thankfully, no one died but it was damaged all along the accident route and Williams’s car was totaled. He talked about the accident saying he was thankful to be alive.
“You’re looking at the [totaled] car like, man, but God works in mysterious ways,” Williams said. “I know He has something in store for me.”
Williams is a defensive end drafted out of Ole Miss who has 13 tackles and four sacks this season for the Cowboys’ defense.
The Cowboys are set to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card round of the NFL Playoffs on Monday night. It’s safe to say taht Williams will be missed by the team if he is unavailable to play in Monday’s game.
