Veteran tight end Foster Moreau revealed in March that he had been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma during a routine physical with the New Orleans Saints. He took to social media on Monday to offer an update on his battle with cancer, and it is perhaps better than anyone could have expected.

Moreau initially revealed that he would be stepping away from football to focus on his health. He then reversed course, saying that he plans to play in the 2023-24 season, signing a three-year, $12 million contract with the Saints in May.

This indicated that things were going well with his treatment, and it now seems like his battle with cancer is over. Moreau took to Twitter, revealing in a detailed post that he is officially in remission from Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

“After a few tumultuous months, I’ve been blessed with the news that I am in full remission from Hodgkin Lymphoma! I’m so grateful to everyone who reached out to offer their love and support; our prayers were answered. From here, I will continue to live my life as God intended.”

This is spectacular news, and fans were delighted to hear this update coming less than three months after his initial diagnosis.

This news is far more significant than football, but it is massive news for the Saints as a team while they prepare for the upcoming season.

Moreau primarily played behind star tight end Darren Waller last season on the Las Vegas Raiders. Still, he has shown that he can be a precious weapon offensively if given an opportunity. He had the best season of his four-year career last year, recording 33 receptions for 420 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
