It’s safe to say that this hasn’t been a great week for the Chicago Bears. In addition to their 0-2 start, the team is now facing the sudden resignation of defensive coordinator Alan Williams and some internal strife with quarterback Justin Fields seemingly throwing the coaching staff under the bus for why he feels like he’s played “robotic” recently. But Bears general manager Ryan Poles tried to calm everybody down with some comments this week.
Ryan Poles held a press conference this week to address the issues the team is facing, and he made it pretty clear that even though the team is undeniably facing some “adversity,” nobody within the team is panicking as they handle it.
“No one in our building is panicking,” Poles said according to Pro Football Talk. “Nobody is flinching at any situations. Not our owner. Not our president. Not our head coach. Not myself. None of our players. Everybody is focusing on solving the issues we have so we can become a better football team.”
We’ll have to see how the Bears are able to handle both of these situations and whether or not they can right the ship and string together a few wins.
