Rickey Jackson achieved a lot in his career. On Monday, Jackson announced another accomplishment on Twitter.

And it has nothing to do with football.

Jackson tweeted out four diploma emojis, along with a screengrab from an article. The title was “NFL Hall of Famer Rickey Jackson received his Pitt degree at 65.” Below that was a photo of Jackson, in his cap and gown, smiling.

Jackson was honored on Twitter by current Saints pass rusher, Cam Jordan.

Jordan was not the only person to praise Jackson. Several football fans took to Twitter to salute Jackson’s latest accomplishment.

This is the latest in a long list of accomplishments.

Jackson was selected out of Pittsburgh by the Saints in the second round of the 1981 NFL Draft. He was part of New Orleans’ famed “Dome Patrol” linebacker corps, earned Second-team All-Pro honors five times and was selected to seven Pro Bowls. In 1994, Jackson left the Saints and joined the San Francisco 49ers, where he played for the next two seasons before retiring. He was on San Francisco’s Super Bowl XXIX winning team.

In 2010, Jackson became the first Saints player to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, an announcement that was made a day before New Orleans won its first (and to date, only) Super Bowl.
