The Washington Redskins losing at home on Monday Night Football has become almost as predictable as death and taxes. The Redskins entered Monday night’s game against the Chicago Bears with a 1-16 mark in home MNF games since 1998, and they promptly extended that to 1-17 with a 31-15 loss. And that loss came with a whole lot of embarrassing moments, including a 28-3 halftime deficit, five turnovers from quarterback Case Keenum (one on a terrible attempted dive over the pile), and this attempted hurdle from Vernon Davis that led to defender Prince Amukamara just backing up and then tackling him.
Keenum’s fumble on a dive over the pile (nowhere near the endzone, and one of his two fumbles and three interceptions on the day) was also a pretty low moment:
As was the pick-six he threw to Ha-Ha Clinton-Dix:
And his Statue of Liberty-ish fumble to Khalil Mack:
So, yeah, not a great night for Keenum (who finished with 30 completions on 43 attempts for 331 yards and two touchdowns with those three interceptions and three fumbles, two lost), or the Redskins (who fell to 0-3). But it was a real rough night for someone who needed a Redskins’ win as the last element of a 20-bet parlay:
