The New England Patriots are officially in the Drake Maye, Mike Vrabel area, which they are hoping is even a fraction as successful as the Tom Brady, Bill Belichick one was in New England.
In order to get Maye the help he’ll need to be successful by surrounding him with the proper weapons. One new addition is wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who is coming off a brutal ACL injury he suffered last season with the Houston Texans that ended his year early.
Now, we have a shocking update on Diggs’ status as training camp gets underway.
“Patriots WR Stefon Diggs has been cleared for full participation at training camp, per sources. While New England will monitor his reps early on, Diggs has looked strong in his return after tearing his ACL last October while taking team reps with second-year QB Drake Maye,” reported The Athletic’s Diana Russini.
Fans reacted to the insane recovery on social media.
“If he comes back, totally healthy, he will help Drake me be a better quarterback,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Impressive recovery!! Definitely put the work in to get back this quickly!” someone else added.
It’ll be interesting to see what the Maye-Diggs connection looks like on the field.
