There has been much speculation about Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and where he will ultimately end up this offseason. It will certainly be discussed even more after Patriots star Matthew Judon had a tweet about Hopkins go viral.
Judon took to social media on Friday and hinted that the Patriots are either working on or have completed a trade for Hopkins.
“Breaking news DeAndre Hopkins to the Patriots,” Judon tweeted.
This hasn’t been confirmed by anyone around the NFL to this point, but many Patriots fans responded to this and are hopeful that Judon is ultimately right.
It may be wishful thinking from Judon at this point, but it appears that there is some merit to this rumor. Earlier on Friday, Cardinals beat reporter Johnny Venerable detailed that the Patriots along with the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Giants are teams to “keep your eyes on” in a potential Hopkins trade.

There is certainly doubt at this point on whether or not Hopkins will ultimately be a Cardinal next season. General Manager Jonathan Gannon detailed earlier this week that he is “not sure” if he will be on the roster.

If the Patriots were to ultimately trade for DeAndre Hopkins, it would undoubtedly be a welcome addition to a questionable receiving corps in New England.
New England has not had a 1,000-yard receiver since 2019, which is something that Hopkins has done six times in his ten-year NFL career.
