The NFL world is buzzing over the Tom Brady roast this week. There’s been a predictable and present fallout from that roast, with Brady’s ex-wife Gisele expressing disappointment over how she was portrayed in it. Then, there was apparently the rumored tension between former head coach Bill Belichick and New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft.
Julian Edelman, a former Patriots star who played for several of their Super Bowl teams, discussed the tension between Kraft and Belichick this week on his “Games with Names” podcast.
Edelman discussed the situation with former Patriots quarterback Drew Bledsoe, a familiar face to many in New England, of course. Bledsoe and Edelman went back and forth on what happened at the roast, and why Edelman said the tension was so thick.
“The tension in tha troom though could cut f—ing glass,” Edelman said.
Obviously, there appears to still be plenty of time needed to mend the fences in New England. It wasn’t ever going to get easy, like with any breakup, but while the tension appeared to wither away, that it was there may say a lot.
The NFL world had much to say about this situation.
