Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are looking to redeem themselves after an embarrassing loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl, squandering the opportunity to become the first NFL franchise to win three consecutive Super Bowls.
Mahomes has given next to no reason to doubt him throughout his career, but one member of the Chiefs mediasphere isn’t liking what he’s seeing from the three-time Super Bowl champion this offseason.
“Vacation photos are popping up of Patrick Mahomes and he’s fat,” iHeartRadio podcast host Kevin Kietzman from Kevin Kietzman Has Issues said on his podcast on Monday, per Awful Announcing. “I’m gonna say it and I’m gonna tell you the truth, that’s why you hit the play button. He’s an embarrassment.
“You’re a $500 million quarterback. You’ve made all these comments in the offseason that, ‘we’re gonna do our talking on the field. We got our butts kicked in the Super Bowl. We’re coming back with a vengeance.’ Dude, you’re fat. Your belly would be fat at my pool, hanging out with us 60-year-olds.
“… Stop. Stop the fast food. Do a sit-up. Do something… there’s no training to this man. I don’t understand it. He’s not a kid anymore. You can’t just run through your NFL career eating Taco Bell all the time… it’s time, dude. It’s time.”
Fans reacted to Kitezman’s statement on social media.
“Kietzman is a clown of Whitlock-esque proportions, the Uncle Rico of ex KC sports media. Do not feed the clowns. Please and thank you,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Let’s be clear. Kietzman is a disgraced FORMER Kansas City radio host. Dude got fired from the radio station HE CO-OWNED for saying stupid, ignorant, and offensive shit. Nobody in KC gives a shit what he thinks anymore,” someone else added.
“It’s clearly a guy who wants attention, thank you for not naming him in the post.. people should ignore this idiot,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see what sort of shape Mahomes is in by the time Week One rolls around.
