Odell Beckham Jr. hasn’t played in the NFL since suffering an ACL injury during the Los Angels Rams‘ Super Bowl victory over the Cincinnati Bengals last year. Beckham is currently the most coveted free-agent receiver in the league and while it recently looked like he could re-joining the Rams at some point this season, some of his recent comments have cast some doubt on that potential return.
Replying to a Twitter thread that reported he was spotted in the Buffalo airport on Wednesday, Beckham revealed that contract negotiations with the Rams have not gone well, saying “they didn’t offer me…. ANYthing!”
“LA knows where I wanted to be… but they didn’t offer me…. ANYthing! So idk what people want me to do, I def kno my worth and what the offer was isn’t reflective of that. So it’s tough to say that I can come on back even tho I thought I finally found that home !” Beckham said in a Tweet on Wednesday.
In a separate Tweet, Beckham revealed that the Rams offered him “the lowest of low offers” heading into this NFL season.
“But YES LA treated me normal and special all in the same breath , we see how that played out! For both sides. I went out to win a [championship] there knowin the risk of playin without an ACL… and then I got the lowest of low offers after that goin into the next season. Impossible,” Beckham said.
If Beckham isn’t going to sign with the Rams, that opens up the possibility that Beckham could sign with a new team this season. Beckham has visited with the New York Giants recently, and the team didn’t deny that it could bring the receiver back.
