While Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been heavily implying that he’s going to sign wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr., the free agent has been sending out some much more cryptic messages about his future.
“Odell’s going to join us,” Jones said on Thursday. “There’s a good chance he will, with the complete goal of getting ready for a playoff game or two, and then I’ll look to the future. But most of it being about now.”
Still, OBJ remains a free agent for the time being. He also took to Twitter on Friday and fired off a series of tweets that could be interpreted in any number of ways.
“All weapons formed against me gotta chance,” he tweeted, then adding “God got somethin bigger planned.”
“From here until it’s time…. Every step is calculated and no wasted motions… is it what it is,” he tweeted later. He followed that up with a Drake lyric, “Ion back n forth over no net, so just gon dead it….”
What does it all mean? Well, that depends on who you ask and which NFL team they root for.

So you’re not signing with the Cowboys to make a playoff push and possibly a better contract after? https://t.co/Ru2teDcddf

The only person who seems to know for sure what OBJ is saying is OBJ, and that’s how it’ll be until he finally signs with someone…or doesn’t! Who knows!
