While San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle has emerged as one of the top tight ends in the entire NFL over the last couple of years, he thinks one of his teammates is the best at his position, as well. In fact, he thinks he should be considered the best overall defender in the league, as well.
After the San Francisco 49ers’ win over the Washington Commanders on Saturday afternoon, George Kittle made his pick for NFL defensive MVP, revealing that he thinks his teammate Nick Bosa should win the award.
“I think today secured his defensive MVP,” Kittle said according to Nick Wagoner of ESPN. “I don’t know how it doesn’t. If you look at what he does every Sunday compared to everyone else around the league whether it’s offense or defense, I don’t know why he’s not in the MVP conversation, too. … Every single day he’s just an absolute monster. All the sacks, they’re earned and deserved. He’s fantastic. He’s never not good.”
Nick Bosa is currently having one of the most dominant seasons of his career. The star pass rusher leads the NFL in sacks with 17.5 and ranks third in the league in pressures with 51 while only playing in 14 games this season.
