Future Hall of Fame running back Marshawn Lynch will soon join Amazon Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football, Amazon vice president Marie Donoghue announced Tuesday on the Marchmand & Ourand Sports Media Podcast.
The move comes despite Lynch’s August arrest for driving under the influence.

“Starting this Thursday, we’ll have Marshawn Lynch. Marshawn will not be on set with us each week, he’s primarily going to be doing some pre-taped segments, which will be really fun. He’s going to go out into the community with sports fans,” Donoghue said on the podcast.
“This week, I think we’ve got him playing football with some of the Highland Park kids [a neighborhood hit by shootings this summer] in Chicago [ahead of the Washington Commanders–Chicago Bears game]. Coming up, we’ll have him feeding alligators [ahead of the New Orleans Saints–Arizona Cardinals game next week]. He’s just a riot.”
The football world was quick to react to the news:
“We’re now one step closer to Marshawn Lynch taking his rightful place in the in-game analyst booth,” Nick Baumgardner wrote.
