There are a lot of big names in the NFL right now that command attention and inspire fans to wear their jerseys.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is coming off his seventh Super Bowl victory and remains an absolute star in the league. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson continue to be human highlight reels. Mac Jones is set to become the face of the New England Patriots and their fans have been gobbling up jerseys with his name on them.
However, none of them were the top-selling jersey of August. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, that honor belongs to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
Allen signed a major contract extension on August 6, which likely motivated a lot of Buffalo fans to get out and invest in a jersey for the long term.
Per Fanatics, Allen beat out Jones, Brady, Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields, and Mahomes for the honor. As usual, don’t underestimate Bills’ fans and their ability to circle the wagons around their guys.
Also, we’re guessing Brady is going to notice how the new guy in New England is out-selling him right now and keep that piece of info handy.
