NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport is one of the best in the business at what he does. Rapoport is constantly breaking news, as he’s been a go-to source for all things NFL, as insider culture has transcended the industry.
But what apparently hasn’t transcended the Rapoport household is the unwritten rule of not wearing shoes in the home. While Rapoport didn’t mention that any of his family members do so, he made a startling admission on Wednesday that was captured by Awful Announcing.
During a segment on NFL+ The Insiders, fellow insider Tom Pelissero asked Rapoprot what’s the one piece of clothing he’d pay to continue wearing. This was likely about the report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter that the NFL is “considering” fining George Kittle for a derogatory T-shirt he wore under his jersey this past Sunday.

“I wear shoes in the house all the time, even though it’s forbidden,” Rapoport said, as his colleague, NFL Network’s Judy Battista was visibly taken aback. “I cannot not wear shoes in the house. So, I would pay for that.”
Those in the NFL world were quick to offer their reactions to Rapoport’s startling admission.
This is a big point of contention in our household https://t.co/RYHll5gWW3

I have an indoor-only pair of @Crocs that I can't go without when in my house. #Crocs4Life https://t.co/xbRbZLuWNJ

I would like to take this opportunity to admit I am a shoes inside the house person. https://t.co/XJoaejAeJr

Pelissero also admitted that he was an “indoor shoe guy,” but later clarified that he has a pair of specific “indoor shoes.”
Ok, let’s be clear: I have specific indoor shoes, so they are clean. Wouldn’t it be weirder every day watching me on TV and knowing I’m barefoot?

Has anyone introduced these two to a thing called slippers?
