We have seen plenty of former NFL stars go on to do great things following their professional playing careers. But unfortunately, Adrian Peterson has had a troubling trend of run-ins with the law following his legendary NFL career, a trend that continued after a recent wild brawl he was involved in was released to the public on Thursday.
Arrests in 2022 following a domestic violence incident and in April of 2025 for driving while intoxicated have highlighted what appears to be just the tip of the iceberg in regards to his concerning behavior.
On Thursday, TMZ released footage of a fight he was involved in with a fellow poker player at a social club in Houston, Texas, called JokerStars, which went on for over 30 seconds despite employees attempting to break up the fight.
Shockingly, according to Peterson, this altercation actually came with someone he considers to be “like a brother”, and things did not escalate any further.
“Me and the guy, we’re cool,” Peterson told TMZ. “We’ve known each other. It was literally like a brother situation. We agreed to disagree, we had our words, and we threw blows — and that was it.”
Naturally, fans had plenty to say about this wild brawl on social media.
Fortunately, authorities were not called to intervene in the matter. So at least this time, Peterson was able to avoid any sort of further legal troubles. But still, it’s not exactly the best look for someone with his kind of public image engaging in this sort of incident.
